Exploring Ways Forward for Christians into the Twenty First Century
This paper was prepared in 1999 with the following objectives
- To communicate a sample of some of the diverse ways in which Christians are expressing their spiritual journeys and contemporary understanding
- To initiate dialogue within and between the Christian traditions that will enable Christianity to evolve in a way that serves the community in a new era
- To encourage a focus on spirituality and spiritual living that will provide a framework for people’s journey through life
- To facilitate the emergence of an open holistic vision for the new millennium which will help all people and all creation to flourish
Though most of the contributors will feel they have ‘moved on’ since they originally wrote this paper it is still felt to represent much of the core thinking within CANA. Click here to download.
Awakening to a New Awareness: Stories of Contemporary Christians
This book tells the fascinating story of eighteen Christians or past Christians who are struggling to make sense of Christianity in the light of the present day understanding of the scriptures, and in a time of increased spiritual awareness.
Anyone moving forward on their particular spiritual journey, and feeling uncertain of their place within traditional religion may find solace in reading the stories of fellow travellers.
This book is currently being reprinted. Details will be posted when it becomes available.
